| Nilnilchick is a little village on the shores of the Cook Inlet, north of Homer. Its community is one of the oldest in Alaska, settled by Russians in the early 18th century. Their descendents have kept Russian traditions, as evidenced by the Russian orthodox church built on a hill that dominates the village. |
