The south shore of Kauai is the most sunny part of the island. Other than its nice sand beaches (that have attracted the largest concentration of resorts in the island), Poipu is know for the Spouting Horn blow-hole. Hanapepe is one of the best preserved historic towns in Hawaii. The area has numerous sugar cane fields and mills, although recently coffee seems to be replacing them.
