Route 001 from Breakers Point to Auasi is the most scenic road on the island. The friendly islanders live in beautiful villages which, despite being now made of western-style homes as opposed to the traditional fale, are home to lively traditions and each includes a distinctive Catholic church. Tisa's Barefoot Bar located along the drive offers on Wednesday evening a feast consisting of traditional foods cooked in an earth oven.
