Germany, besides the powerful economy, the efficient organization, and the high standard of living, is also a country with charming villages, well preserved medieval and baroque towns, peaceful lush landscapes, and rich traditions. No other region of the country examplifies those attractions better than Bavaria. In 1997, I traveled for two weeks across Bavaria following the so-called Romantic road which goes through some of the most beautiful historic towns of the country. |
