The SAP Center, formerly HP Pavilion and the Arena, is a downtown multi-purpose sports and entertainment center with 20,000 seats. One of the finest single-concourse facilities in North America, its completion in 1993 was an important milestone in the emergence of San Jose as a destination city. The SAP Center is one of the most active venues for events in the world. It sold the most tickets to non-sporting events of any venue in the United States, and third in the world.
