Edie, I’d be interested to know if the book makes it to the Yosemite bookstores. Even being not sure what your definition of “monograph” is, I didn’t say that there wasn’t any, just surprisingly few. My favorite is William Neill’s Yosemite: The Promise of Wildness.

I never knew there weren’t any monographs published about Yosemite; But so many books with pics of the place, it’s easy to assume that it’s been done.
