| The most classic view of San Francisco is possibly from Alamo Square. There is a row of victorian houses built in 1895 by Matthey Kavanaugh, dubed the "Six sisters", whose elaborate woodwork contrast with the modern skyline, dominated by the triangular Transamerica Pyramid. A great view of the city from above is from Twin Peaks. while Treasure Island and Sausalito offer sweeping water-level views. |
