Winchester Mystery House

Black and White pictures by QT Luong

[page 1][page 2] [All]

The Winchester Mystery House is a unique mansion famous for its 160 rooms, architectural oddities such as doors and stairways that lead nowhere, vast area of colors and fine materials (including Tiffany glass), and the fact that it followed no overall plan, except to be in a state of continuous rebuilding. Some say that Sarah Winchester, the heir of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company was told by a medium that she had to keep building a home for the spirits who have fallen from the Winchester rifle. She would have built the Winchester Mystery House in such a haphazard fashion to distract the spirits who she believed were hunting her.
