Marina Bay Sands, when opened in 2010, was the most expensive casino ever built, with a development cost in excess of 6 billion USD. Marina Bay Sands was one of the most challenging construction projects to date, toped by the 340 meter long SkyPark, the world's largest cantilevered platform, straddling three towers 191 metres above the ground, and overhanging by 67 meters. The SkyPark is home to a 146 meter-long swimming pool. The Marina Bay Sands complex also includes a shopping mall, an art and science museum, theaters, and restaurants.
